Collection: Nature and landscapes

Nature already occupies an essential place in Lalou Kraffe's female portraits, but it is expressed today with even more force through her first landscapes, true tributes to the "Breton chaos" and to the influence of Japonism which marked the great painters of the late 19th and early 20th centuries, such as Klimt, Monet, Degas, Van Gogh, Pissarro or Egon Schiele.

In these works, Lalou brings to life all the poetry of his imagination: hares, fireflies, herons and other creatures emerge from the undergrowth or a bank, inviting contemplation and escape. Each landscape, delicately worked on a wooden panel and sometimes enhanced with copper or gold leaf, invites us to listen to nature like a symphony, to immerse ourselves in the song of the leaves and the morning light.

With this new series, Lalou Kraffe continues her poetic exploration, offering a sensitive look at nature and the beauty of the world around us.
