Princesses and the Pea

Created in April 2018, Lalou Kraffe's Princesses and the Pea series continues to enchant today.

Much more than a simple homage to the famous tale, this series is for Lalou a creative playground around fabric, drapery and textiles, where she explores textures and volumes with an assumed fantasy.

Originally from Troyes, a city with a rich textile history, Lalou grew up surrounded by fabrics and beautiful materials, a passion that is reflected in each of her works.

Her playful spirit brings a touch of mischief and sensuality to this series, reinventing Andersen's princess with humor, poetry and a touch of coquetry.
