A nude woman sits with her back to us on top of a pile of cushions. Her high red bun turns towards the left; a small black star marks her hip near the brown fabrics.

Yellows, greys and leaf patterns follow one another beneath the figure. The narrow format emphasises the height of this Princess and the Pea and the richness of the piled fabrics.

The background colour reproduces the gold leaf in the original painting. It is printed on the paper around the pale silhouette and the bun.

Edition and presentation

This edition is limited to 50 numbered copies. Presented in a black floating frame. Format: 20 × 60 cm.

Each limited edition is hand-signed and numbered by Lalou on the back of the print. It comes with a certificate, also signed, stating its edition number and the title of the work. All limited editions are presented in a floating frame.

Quality and care

Printed on Canson Etching Rag 310 g/m² paper using Epson UltraChrome PRO12 pigment inks. According to Epson, these inks can provide a print life of up to 200 years in colour and 400 years in black and white, depending on the printing medium and the conditions of display and storage.
