Slender trunks rise between the rocks and spread their small leaves across a very light sky. Water patterned with regular blue motifs flows between ochre and grey stones.

A large central rock creates a sense of depth. Behind it, a subtle bank and a few dark trees extend the landscape, with the attention to curves that characterises Lalou’s depictions of Brittany’s boulder formations.

The orange foliage comes from copper-leaf work on the original painting. Its colour is carried through here in the reproduction on art paper.

Sizes and framing

This open art edition is offered in a 30 × 60 cm format, unframed. A framed version is also available at the gallery; this presentation cannot currently be ordered online. The photograph shows a framed presentation.

Quality and care

Printed on Canson Etching Rag 310 g/m² paper using Epson UltraChrome PRO12 pigment inks. According to Epson, these inks can provide a print life of up to 200 years in colour and 400 years in black and white, depending on the printing medium and the conditions of display and storage.
