"To sit here...or there...and simply wait for the sun to rise."
Rocks fill the lower and left-hand parts of this landscape. Between them, pale blue water opens towards the horizon; slender trees carry small copper-coloured leaves against the sky.
The dark masses of the stones echo the foliage along the bank. Panel 1A can be contemplated on its own or joined by the other two landscapes in the same composition, creating a continuity of colours and shapes.
In the original, the foliage is enhanced with copper leaf. The print reproduces its orange colours above the water and rocks.
