Rocks occupy the lower and left parts of this landscape. Between them, pale blue water opens towards the horizon; slender trees bear small copper-colored leaves against the sky.
The dark masses of the stones echo the foliage along the bank. Panel 1A can be viewed on its own or joined with the other two landscapes from the same composition, creating a continuity of colors and shapes.
In the original, the foliage is enhanced with copper leaf. The print reproduces its orange colors above the water and rocks.
