"A curtain of night is drawn…" is an original painting by Lalou in 2025.
Lalou's work begins with patient research on egrets, creating numerous sketches based on carefully chosen images to capture the subtle articulation of their necks. This exercise reveals an animal that may initially appear ungainly, but whose elegance gradually becomes apparent to the artist.
Thus, nature finds a special place in Lalou's paintings, seeking to capture the suspended moment when the human, initially a spectator, becomes observed in turn by the scene he discovers.
Far from the tumult, each panel opens like an intimate clearing, revealing fragments of nature imbued with emotion and poetry, inviting wonder and contemplation.

The custom-made FEFCO 0429 box incorporates cardboard reinforcements on the ends (up to 18 mm), and the limited editions are protected by a high-end bubble sheet, tissue paper and foam corners for total peace of mind during transport.
