With her eyes closed, a woman in profile raises her face slightly. Red hair moves away from the neck above a large midnight-blue collar; a branch with golden leaves crosses the upper part of the image.

The blue-grey background and dark patterns of the garment envelop this pause. The curve of the neck and line of the eyelids give a simple form to the sense of well-being evoked by the title.

The leaves above the profile are worked in gold leaf in the original painting. The print reproduces their golden shades alongside the blues of the background.

Sizes and framing

This art edition is available in A3 (29.7 × 42 cm) or A2 (42 × 59.4 cm). Choose unframed, with a black frame or with an oak-coloured frame, according to the variants shown on this page.

Quality and care

Printed on Canson Etching Rag 310 g/m² paper using Epson UltraChrome PRO12 pigment inks. According to Epson, these inks can provide a print life of up to 200 years in colour and 400 years in black and white, depending on the printing medium and the conditions of display and storage.
