A red-haired woman wearing a blue turban holds a white swan against her. Her hands follow the curves of the bird, while the green-grey coat envelops the lower part of the composition.

Black leaves cross the golden star in the background. The clarity of the plumage and the face gives this encounter a gentle presence, accompanied by the words "Dum Spiro Spero": "While I breathe, I hope".

Behind the turban, the star reproduces the gold leaf used in the original painting. The print restores its nuances among the black branches.
