A large blue collar rises to the lips of a red-haired woman. Her eyes look towards us beneath black leaves and small copper-coloured squares crossing the hair and light background.

The curve of the shoulder and folds of the coat fill the lower part of the image. The garment gives the portrait the sense of shelter evoked by the title, between the warmth of the fabric and the coolness outside.

The small squares reproduce the copper leaf used in the original painting. The print renders its brown and orange shades around the hairstyle and coat.

Sizes and framing

This art edition is available in A3 (29.7 × 42 cm) or A2 (42 × 59.4 cm). Choose unframed, with a black frame or with an oak-coloured frame, according to the variants shown on this page.

Quality and care

Printed on Canson Etching Rag 310 g/m² paper using Epson UltraChrome PRO12 pigment inks. According to Epson, these inks can provide a print life of up to 200 years in colour and 400 years in black and white, depending on the printing medium and the conditions of display and storage.
