What we love about this portrait by Lalou Kraffe is its blend of presence and lightness. The pale face and sideways glance echo the movement of the hair. Below, pink fabrics, circles and stripes invite us to linger over the details.

In the original artwork, Lalou combines painting with applications of gold leaf. This print reproduces those shades while retaining the matt finish of the fine art paper.

The dark background adds depth, while reds and pinks bring a warmth that might echo a cushion, an armchair or a few books beside a reading corner.

Quality and care

Printed on Canson Etching Rag 310 g/m² paper using Epson UltraChrome PRO12 pigment inks. According to Epson, these inks can provide a print life of up to 200 years in colour and 400 years in black and white, depending on the printing medium and the conditions of display and storage.
