"Tonight the birds are sleeping... Only the soft rustling of leaves envelops me in gentleness..."

A woman turns her back to us, her face tilted toward her shoulder. Her hair and the delicate branches of the background blend into a palette of pinks, mauves, and browns.

On the right, a long golden stem rises against the light background. The small painted leaves cross the shoulder and the top of the image, around the gentle curve of the back.

The stem and its capsule are rendered in gold leaf in the original painting. This print captures those golden nuances on the right side of the portrait.
