Beneath a blue turban, a profile turns to the right. An ochre coat and its purple buttons occupy the bottom of the image, against a background of stylized flowers.
Small leaves cross the top of the light background. The blues of the fabric, the browns of the garment, and the black patterns compose a portrait in muted colors, whose movement is captured in the line of the nose and the nape of the neck.
The leaves at the top of the composition reproduce the gold leaf applied to the original painting. Here, they are printed in their golden shades.
