With her eyes closed, a woman tilts her face slightly to the left. Dark hair, the green background and clothing with light patterns come together, while small golden shapes pass near her forehead.

Everything rests in this profile and the line of the neck. The title invites us to pause; the calm expression and shades of green give that invitation a simple form.

The golden accents around the face reproduce the gold leaf applied in the original painting. They are rendered through printing within this palette of greens.
