Original painting: "Gently but surely, I had embarked on this long journey..."

A red-haired woman looks to the right, her neck enveloped in the collar of a blue coat. Behind her profile, a large golden celestial body follows the curve of her bun.

Dark red stems and circles punctuate the light background. The density of the coat's patterns echoes the delicacy of the plants in a square composition where the gaze remains turned outward.

The large celestial body is made with gold leaf in the original. This golden surface brings its texture behind the face, among the blues and reds of the décor.

The original artwork

Unique original artwork by Lalou Kraffe, created in 2025. Artwork dimensions: 50 × 50 cm. Presented in a black XL floater frame. Framed dimensions: 58 × 58 cm.

Extra-fine acrylic paint on a 10 mm MDF wood panel, prepared with gesso. The floater frame is made in Brittany and assembled in our workshop in Auray.
