Original painting, painted by Lalou Kraffe in October 2025:
With “Gently but surely, I had embarked on this long journey…” Lalou Kraffe evokes the idea of a departure marked by calm and determination. The painting suggests an inner journey, a quiet yet resolute decision-making process, where each step is taken with gentleness and confidence. This painting invites us to feel the peaceful strength of those who move forward, carried by patience, light, and hope.
The painting is a unique work created on a 10mm MDF wood panel, prepared using traditional methods with a gesso coating. The painting is entirely done with extra-fine acrylic paint (Sennelier, Charvin, Liquitex) and applied with 24-karat gold leaf. It is created entirely by hand, without any glue or artificial coloring.
The XL American-style frames are made in Brittany by our partner framer and the artworks are mounted in our workshop in Auray.
