This painting conveys the idea of returning to oneself through deep contact with the forest, akin to the Japanese concept of shinrin-yoku (forest bathing), where one allows themselves to be imbued with the atmosphere of the trees to recharge and calm the mind.
Lalou depicts a woman emerging from inner isolation, serene after this silent immersion, ready to step back into the world with greater gentleness and clarity.
The forest here becomes a space for pause, for healing, where deep breathing opens the door to a gentle return to daily life.
The painting is a unique work created on a wooden panel (10mm MDF) traditionally prepared with gesso. The painting is entirely done in extra-fine acrylic (Sennelier, Charvin, Liquitex) with 24-carat gold leaf application and created by hand, without any collage or AI...
The XL float frames are made in Brittany by our partner framer, and the artworks are assembled in our workshop in Auray.
