A red-haired woman holds the large collar of her blue-grey coat close around her. Dark ferns spread around the figure; fine silhouettes of trees pass in front of a celestial body in copper tones.
The gaze returns towards us above the folds of the fabric. Blues, greys and ochres create a refuge of colours between the coolness outside and the warmth of the garment.
The celestial body reproduces the copper leaf of the original painting. Its warm shades are printed above the coat and ferns in the left-hand part of the image.
