Cradled by a gentle breeze, my thoughts cling, my thoughts settle...

A small nest holding a pale egg rests above red hair. A branch crosses the image, and a few red threads accompany the face turned towards us.

The dark garment and blue-green patterns of the background surround the pale skin. Between the hairstyle and nest, Lalou brings portraiture and the plant world together with a gently unusual touch.

The small golden squares around the forehead and nest reproduce the gold leaf used in the original artwork. The print renders their shades within this setting of ochres and greens.
