A face in profile turns to the right, framed by long red hair. A grey-green coat rises near the neck; behind it, geometric lines repeat across a dark green background.
A red thread passes above the head, accompanied by small squares. The title gives movement to the thoughts, while the lines of the face and the gaze create a quiet presence.
The small squares above the hair originate in applications of gold leaf in the original painting. Their printed shades mingle with the red thread and ochres of the background.
