Diptyque 2A: "Hidden in the ferns, far from the tumult..."
Four egrets with ochre, green, and brown plumage cross paths among the plants. Their long beaks and necks stand out against light and pink bands crossed by fine red lines.
A golden celestial body illuminates the top of the panel, behind the black leaves. The patterned branches and foreground stems give this first panel of the diptych the density of vegetation observed up close.
The large celestial body reproduces the gold leaf applied to the original painting. Its printed shades complement the colors of the birds and the dark lines of the plants.
