Original painting: “Come and sit your bum down here… Right beside me… In the cool of the ferns… Get tipsy on pollen… Watch the trees dance…”

The pines lean over blue water as though they had decided to dance. In the foreground, ferns cast their shadows across the rocks, and small touches of yellow dot the green. A copper-coloured sun watches over this quiet spot.

“Come and sit your bum down here…”: Lalou makes room for us beside her. We sit down, enjoy the cool air and take our time looking at the landscape.
