Original painting: "I found myself there, accompanied by a thousand thoughts, in this unknown place where…"

A red-haired woman closes her eyes, her cheek resting on one hand, while the other holds a red cup. The botanical patterns on her dark clothing blend into the green background behind her.

On the left, a bright window-shaped opening reveals small grey leaves. Her elbow on the table, the softness of her face, and the contrast of the cup give this moment of repose an intimate presence.

The gold leaf highlights the window-shaped opening behind the figure. It is part of the original artwork’s materials; the small grey leaves in the background are painted.
